Also with a quick glance in the tank I saw 2 dead pleco that had turned white due to decomposition, so I don'T know how long they had been there, I don't think their fish department is very well run.

I don't go to Safari as often as Nature pet store but from what I've seen, Safari can learn a lot from Nature. Nature pet store also has cats that came from shelters but it's pretty obvious in my eyes that the dogs at Safari are from puppy mills. Every time I go in there it's all pure bred puppies under the age of a year, very rarely they occasionally have one a little over a year at most. As pissed off as I was at my brother for wanting to purchase a dog from this store, sadly he did. I tried to convince him to adopt but he insisted on getting a specific dog from Safari. At first glance of the dog you couldn't tell because of his fur but he was extremely thin. My brother was told the dog was vaccinated and dewormed but yet he was pretty sick when we got him. Luckily he is doing a lot better now after a year. You spend a hell of a lot more money on buying a dog rather than if you'd rescue. As others have said the workers are a hit and miss but that's kinda to be expected. Hoping one day Safari will stop thinking about the money and start thinking about the animals.

It definitely has improved, I got better service. Good effort, keep it up! It is pricey but it's understandable seeing the store - the Koi pond is spectacular. They also have everything, great selection.

Went there for a pet rat, returned home with a sick rat. The manager keeps insisting it's because they are nervous but I have 3 rats and know better than her. Useless staff, they are nice tho but know nothing about pets. Don't ever go there ! Nothing is cheap at Safari except the manager, THAT MANAGER AT ANGRIGNON SAFARI!!!

I would rate my experience zero stars if there was an option to. The only way I can describe my experience was a fish holocaust. My six year old son watched an angel fish get eaten by school of red tail sharks. In addition, tanks were overcrowded and staff were more interested in gossiping than saving the fish. The shop sells very nice aquariums and ornaments, however the employees showed no regard for the well being of the animals in their care.

I had to buy a new filter for an emergency and Safari was closest, I usually go to Aquarius on Jean-talon but it was closed so I had no choice. It cost me 260$ instead of the 180 I paid to the other store. Are you kidding me??
